SFCC Track and Field Finishes Indoor Regular Season
- The State Fair Community College (SFCC) track and field teams brought home a combined 12 top eight finishes, including two event titles from the Illinois College Hilltop Classic hosted by Illinois College inside King Fieldhouse on Friday, Feb. 21 in Jacksonville, Illinois.

Jacksonville, Illinois- The State Fair Community College (SFCC) track and field teams brought home a combined 12 top eight finishes, including two event titles from the Illinois College Hilltop Classic hosted by Illinois College inside King Fieldhouse on Friday, Feb. 21 in Jacksonville, Illinois.
Freshman Tucker Singer of Tina, Missouri captured the title in the men's shot put with a throw of 17.60 meters which is a college best in the event for Singer.
Freshman Legend Freelon of Kansas City, Missouri finished second in the men's high jump with a jump of 1.90 meters, which is a college best in the event for Freelon. Freshman Zeshaun Ballance-Gray of Kansas City, Missouri finished second in the triple jump with a jump of 13.93 meters
Sophomore Peyton Ligon of Ozark, Missouri finished third in the men's high jump with a jump of 1.90 meters. Sophomore Isaiah Waller of Versailles, Missouri finished third in the weight throw with a throw of 17.83 meters, which is a college best in the event for Waller.
Sophomore Joseph Bland of Versailles, Missouri finished fourth in the men's shot put with a throw of 15.33 meters. Sophomore Justin Horn of Hermitage, Missouri finished fourth in the 400m with a time of 52.41.
Sophomore Jasper DeGraffenreid of Eldon, Missouri finished fifth in the men's shot put with a throw of 14.75 meters.
Freshman Jocelyn Nunez of Independence, Missouri led the charge for the Lady Roadrunners winning the long jump with a jump of 5.31 meters.
Freshman Journey Sander of Cairo, Missouri finished tied for sixth in the women's high jump with a jump of 1.35 meters.
Freshman Laiysha Freeman of Kansas City, Missouri finished seventh in the women's long jump with a jump of 4.98 meters.
Freshman Bethany Slovensky of New Florence, Missouri finished eighth in the women's 60m hurdles with a time of 9.95.
"This was a fabulous way to end our indoor regular season," said SFCC head coach Brad Hagedorn. "We had 15 personal bests. Some of the highlights were definitely Jocelyn winning the long jump and our shot put group finishing first, fourth and fifth. Congratulations to Tucker Singer who broke Illinois College's facility record in the shot put. Tucker is currently ranked number two in the country. We will find out next week who will travel to our Indoor Nationals at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas."
SFCC will return to action on Friday, March 7 at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships.
