Roadrunners capture a pair of titles at Coach Richard Alsup Open
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners track and field team brought home six top eight finishes from the Coach Richard Alsup Open hosted by Northwest Missouri State University inside the Hughes Fieldhouse in Maryville on January 18.

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners track and field team brought home six top eight finishes from the Coach Richard Alsup Open hosted by Northwest Missouri State University inside the Hughes Fieldhouse in Maryville on January 18.
Freshman Tucker Singer of Tina, Missouri earned the title in the shot put with a throw of 16.49 meters. Freshman Zeshaun Ballance-Gray, Kansas City, Missouri won the triple jump with a jump of 13.62 meters.
Sophomore Isaiah Waller, Versailles placed second in the weight throw with a throw of 17.13 meters.
Sophomore Peyton Ligon, Ozark finished fourth in the high jump with a jump of 1.93 meters.
Sophomore Jess Cornick placed eighth in the 1,000m run with a time of 2:34.00. Sophomore Joseph Bland, Versailles also placed eighth in the shot put with a throw of 14.52 meters.
"We had a great weekend at Northwest," said Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. "The throws group arguably had the best performances of any event group. Everyone who entered the weight throw set a personal best with Isaiah finishing second. Tucker won the shot put and Zeshaun won the triple jump. The athletes are gaining confidence and should continue getting better."
