The State Fair Community College (SFCC) track and field teams continued their outdoor season at the Rock Chalk Classic at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kansas on Saturday, April 30.

Freshman Wyatt Irwin finished in a tie for eighth place in the men's high jump with a jump of 1.90 meters.

"Wyatt is still figuring out a new approach but, still competes extremely well. He is looking forward to the National Championships next month," said SFCC Track and Field Head Coach Brad Hagedorn.

Freshman Landon Mason recorded a personal record in the men's discus throw of 41.41 meters.

Freshman Ella Golden ran a season best time of 27.12 in the women's 200m.

"It was another day with tough competition but, we performed as well as we have all year," said Hagedorn.
