The State Fair Community College (SFCC) track and field teams competed at the ESU at Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas March 25-26. More than 1,100 student-athletes from all levels of track and field participated.
Freshman Landon Mason had a throw of 12.41 meters in the shot put. Freshman Ty Lewis ran the 800m run in a time of 2:03.42. Freshman Ryan Smith ran his first 3000m steeplechase in a time of 11:47.37.
Freshman Zyaire Robinson ran the women's 100m dash in a time of 12.97.
"We had a nice weekend as far as our performances were concerned," said SFCC Track and Field Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. "There was a lot of high-level competition."
