SFCC falls in Region Semifinal

Oct. 21 East Central College at Union, Missouri

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners picked up a hard-fought 1-0 victory in the Region 16 Quarterfinal Round over East Central College on Saturday, Oct. 21 in Union, Missouri.

SFCC (3-8-1) scored the only goal of the match with about six minutes remaining in the first half off a shot from Ethan Phillips with an assist from Liam Snowball. The Roadrunners' strong defensive effort sealed the upset victory.

Oct. 24 St. Louis Community College at St. Louis

SFCC saw its season end with a 3-1 loss to 11^thranked St. Louis Community College in the Region 16 Semifinal Round on Tuesday, Oct.24 in St. Louis, Missouri.

St. Louis got on the scoreboard around five minutes into the opening half. The Archers took a 1-0 lead into halftime. St. Louis found the back of the net once again in the 68^th minute to stretch the advantage.

SFCC (3-9-1) got on the scoreboard with a goal from Dario Catalan In the 70^th minute. St. Louis answered with another goal also in the 70^th minute to put the game away.

Kamryn Bridges got the start in goal for SFCC and made six saves.
