Abdi and Cotter named All-Conference

State Fair Community College (SFCC) men's soccer student-athletes midfielder Zakariya Abdi and defender Malachi Cotter have both earned Missouri Community College Athletic Conference Men's Soccer All-Conference honors.

Abdi was named to the First-Team. Cotter earned Second-Team honors.

Abdi led the team in assists with five. Abdi also scored three goals; third on the team. Abdi also finished third on team with 11 points.

Cotter was a key part of the team's defense.

"Both of them played well this season," said Roadrunners Soccer Head Coach Jaime Beltran. "Zak was a really powerful player, who created a lot of good things for us on the attacking side, as well as helping out our defense as a midfielder. He scored some big-time goals for us this year. Malachi was the center of our defense. He was the organizer and leader of the back line."
