The Roadrunners took on the Metropolitan Community College-Blue River Trail Blazers on Oct. 11 in a Region 16 match. SFCC (3-9-1, 2-6 in Region 16) fell by a score of 1-0. Blue River scored the game-winning goal with 39 minutes and 42 seconds remaining in the opening half.
"We had three opportunities in the first half and were unable to convert," said Roadrunners Soccer Head Coach Eddie Horn. "I didn't like the amount of fight we showed in the second half."
SFCC will face Wentworth Military Academy and College at 4 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Sports Complex west of the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center. SFCC defeated Wentworth 2-1 in the first meeting between the teams this season.
