The SFCC Roadrunners played host to the Metropolitan Community College-Maple Woods Monarchs on Sept. 22. SFCC (2-6-1, 1-5 in Region 16) fell by a score of 3-0. Maple Woods scored in the 13th, 52nd and 88th minute of the match.
"Maple Woods' first goal was scored somewhat against the run of play," said Roadrunners Head Soccer Coach Eddie Horn. "We had some chances. The Maple Woods goalkeeper made a couple of nice plays before they scored. Their second goal was not a quality goal for us to give up."
SFCC returns to action at 7 p.m. Sept. 28 at Wentworth Military Academy and College for another Region 16 match.
