Roadrunners’ Golf Open Spring Season

A pair of State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners golf team members opened their spring season at the William Woods University Spring Invitational at the Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton on March 31 and April 1.

A pair of State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners golf team members opened their spring season at the William Woods University Spring Invitational at the Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton on March 31 and April 1.
 
Samuel Verbovshchuk and Isaiah Waller competed as individuals in the 36-hole event. Verbovshchuk shot an 80 in the opening round and followed that up with an 88 in round two to finish with a total score of 168. Verbovshchuk finished in a tie for 69th.
 
Waller shot a score of 102 in the opening round and a score of 112 in round two to finish with a total score of 214. Waller finished 90th.
 
"This was our first event of a short spring season," said head coach Wayne Ogle. "We are looking for quality golf and working to identify areas for improvement."
