The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Golf Team opened their fall season with a scrimmage at Crown Pointe Golf Club in Farmington, Missouri on Monday, September 14. SFCC took on the Mineral Area College Cardinals.
Freshman Bo Kroenke of Lincoln won the event with a score of 75. Freshman Andrew Bailey of Warrensburg shot an 82. Freshman Kaden Killingsworth shot 89. Freshman Jacoby Mast of Springfield shot a 90. Sophomore Brandon Plummer of Tipton scored a 93 and sophomore Tucker Williams of Windsor shot a 94.
"I was very pleased with a few of the scores," said SFCC Golf Head Coach Wayne Ogle. "Our players were able to bounce back after some poor starts. We still need to work on managing the golf course and limiting our mistakes. The goal is to eliminate double bogey and worse. We had way too many of those as a team."
Other members of the Roadrunners Golf Team include freshmen Brett Hockett and Aaron Kennon, Sedalia; Freshman William Rader, Joplin; and Freshman Fischer Tharp, Rockport.
SFCC is scheduled to host the SFCC Fall Invitational Oct. 26 - 27.
