Bradford, Gunnels earn All-Region, All-Conference Honors

Two State Fair Community College Roadrunners basketball players earned postseason honors following standout sophomore campaigns.
Forward Sam Bradford of Houston, Texas, was named First Team All-Region 16, while guard Alex Gunnels of Kansas City was named to the Second Team. The awards were determined by Region 16 coaches following the conclusion of the 2024-25 season.
Bradford and Gunnels also received recognition from the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference. Bradford earned First Team All-MCCAC honors, while Gunnels was named to the Second Team.
Bradford appeared in 21 games and made 16 starts, averaging a team-best 16.7 points per game. He also led SFCC with 1.7 steals per contest and ranked second on the team with 6.4 rebounds per game. Bradford shot 46% from the field, 32% from 3-point range, and 73% from the free-throw line.
He scored a season-high 36 points against Mineral Area College and finished in double figures 17 times, despite missing most of the first semester due to injury.
Gunnels started all 31 games and averaged 10 points per game. He shot 33% from beyond the arc and 72.8% from the free-throw line. He also led the Roadrunners with 4.2 assists per game and added 2.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals per contest.
Gunnels scored a season-high 22 points against Iowa Central Community College and reached double figures in 16 games.
