Feb. 13: SFCC vs. Missouri State University-West Plains
SFCC struggled offensively in a close game at home. The Roadrunners trailed 11-10 midway through the first half before heading into halftime down 22-20. West Plains extended its lead to 43-30 with 12 minutes remaining, its largest advantage of the night.
SFCC battled back, cutting the deficit to four at 58-54 with less than two minutes to play, but West Plains sealed the win with key free throws down the stretch.
"It is difficult to win a game when you shoot 4 of 22 from the three-point line," head coach Matt Brown said. "We made some layups in the second half, moved the ball well and played defense. We'll go back to work and get ready for Moberly on Saturday."
Sophomore forward Sam Bradford of Houston led SFCC with 20 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. He also tied for the team lead in assists with three, alongside sophomore guard Alex Gunnels of Kansas City and freshman guard Tyson Mobley of Newtown. Gunnels added 18 points and shared the team lead in steals with sophomore guard/forward Jon Brandtner of Cape Girardeau. Freshman forward Malick Ndiaye of Arlington, Texas contributed 11 points.

SFCC (16-10, 2-7 Region 16) fell behind early against the nationally ranked Greyhounds. The game featured five ties and five lead changes in the opening minutes, with SFCC holding a 21-20 lead at the 11-minute mark. Sophomore guard Mosa Osagie of McKinney, Texas added 11, while Gunnels finished with 10 and a team-high five assists.
