Nov. 29 - St. Louis Community College at St. Louis, Missouri

The Roadrunners lost a tough game 61-60 to the St. Louis Community College. The game was part of the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference schedule for both teams. It featured seven lead changes and two ties.

SFCC jumped out to an early 24-11 lead in the first half. The 13-point advantage was the largest lead held by either team. The Roadrunners led 31-22 at halftime. St. Louis fought their way back and emerged with the victory.

Sophomore guard Jules Bikoy led the Roadrunners in scoring with 17 points. Freshman guard Elijah Bernstein garnered 11 points and a team-high six assists. Sophomore forward/center Nate Pericles pulled down a team-high six rebounds. Freshman guard Devon Ellis and sophomore wing/forward Abou Wague tied for the team lead in blocked shots with two each.

"The game could have gone either way," said Roadrunners Head Coach Matt Brown. "We had a substantial lead and lost by one point. It was a hard-fought game. St. Louis is always a tough and scrappy team. We had a lead most of the game. We must be able to get defensive stops down the stretch when we need them."

Dec. 3 - Kansas City Kansas Community College at Sedalia

SFCC (5-9) lost 83-70 to Kansas City Kansas Community College in the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center.

SFCC led 6-2 with 15 minutes and 36 seconds remaining in the opening half. Kansas City Kansas erased the deficit to take a 39-24 lead into halftime. The advantage grew to 22 points in the second half. SFCC tried to make a comeback late in the contest.

Kansas City Kansas used a full-court pressure defense to force SFCC into 22 turnovers as a team, which led to 26 points off turnovers.

"Kansas City Kansas was the tougher team tonight," said Brown. "We had a couple of injuries that hurt us, but you can't turn the ball over 15 times in the first half. Kansas City Kansas did a really good job of turning us over with their pressure defense. They were physically tougher than us; they were mentally tougher than us; and they outworked us. That was a big difference in the game."

Ellis led SFCC in scoring with 17 points and tied with sophomore wing/forward Dalton Gayman for the team-high with two blocked shots. Gayman registered a double-double with 15 points, a team-high 11 rebounds and two blocked shots. Bernstein contributed 14 points, a team-high four assists and a team-high five steals. Bikoy pitched in 11 points.
