Roadrunners Earn All-Conference Honors

Three State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners have earned Men's Basketball Missouri Community College Athletic Conference All-Conference awards, as voted by conference coaches. Sophomore guard/forward Caleb Coleman of Hammond, Indiana and freshman guard Damaria Franklin of Chicago, Illinois earned First-Team honors. Sophomore guard Dru Smith of Kansas City, Missouri was named to the Second-Team.

Coleman led his team in scoring with 15.4 points per game. Coleman scored a season-high 32 points against North Arkansas College. He knocked down 52.5% of his field-goal attempts, which placed him third on the team. Coleman also knocked almost 72% of his free-throw attempts and he pulled down 6.7 rebounds per game. Coleman finished second on the team in blocks per game with 1.1.

Franklin finished second on the team in scoring with 13.3 points per contest. He knocked down 31.7% of his three-point attempts and pulled down four rebounds per game from a guard position. Franklin led the team in steals per game with 1.3.

Smith finished third on the team in scoring with 11.5 points per game. He scored a season-high 23 points against Highland Community College-Kansas. He converted on 73% of his free-throw attempts, which placed him second on the team.

"I am very happy for Caleb and Dru, two of our returnees from last year," said Roadrunners Basketball Head Coach Matt Brown. "Damaria really stepped up his game during Region play and he improved a lot as the season went along, especially at shooting the ball."

SFCC also earned the Sportsmanship Award from the Conference.
