SFCC esports ready for first spring season
Although the Esports program is only in its inaugural season at State Fair Community College (SFCC), the expectations are high as the spring season begins this week.
Although the Esports program is only in its inaugural season at State Fair Community College (SFCC), the expectations are high as the spring season begins this week.
The Rocket League team went into the national playoffs as the top seed last semester after an undefeated regular season. The team only lost one game in the national playoffs, which knocked them out of the post season. The team finished in ninth place. Expectations remain high for this semester. The Rocket League team went 3-0 in the preseason and is currently ranked first in the nation in the preseason.
SFCC Esports will also compete in Rainbow Six Siege and Call of Duty Warzone this spring. All the Call of Duty Warzone players qualified for the national playoffs last semester. Josh Wyrick placed 10th in the nation.
