Bio

Jordan Dey is in his fifth season as the assistant baseball coach at State Fair Community College. He served as a volunteer assistant during the 2018 season.

Dey helped SFCC to a 26-30 record during the 2024 campaign. SFCC advanced to the Region 16 Tournament with a sub-regional victory on the road. The team also earned their fourth consecutive NJCAA Academic Team Award. SFCC also set single-season team records in hits with 516, doubles with 106, triples with 14 and total bases with 815. The team also set the single-season at-bats record with 1,691.

SFCC finished 18-33 during the 2023 campaign. The program earned its third consecutive NJCAA Academic Team Award.

Dey helped SFCC to a 22-24 record in the 2022 season. SFCC broke the school record for the team slugging percentage at .564. SFCC also set both the school record for team home runs in a season with 82. The team finished 13th in the nation in home runs and 17th in the nation in slugging percentage as a team. SFCC also did the job in the classroom earning a second consecutive NJCAA Academic Team Award. 

Dey helped the team to a 20-26 record during the 2021 campaign. SFCC set a team record for on-base percentage at .425. The Roadrunners also set a team record for extra-base hits as a team with 186. The Roadrunners also earned the program’s first NJCAA Academic Team Award in 2021.

The Sedalia native began his collegiate coaching career at Columbia College from 2018 to 2020, where he served as a graduate assistant for two years. He assisted with the hitters and infield, while serving as the bullpen coach. During the 2019 season, he helped Columbia College advance to the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in school history.

Dey has also served as an assistant coach for the Sedalia Bombers for four seasons.

Dey played for two seasons at William Woods University in 2015 and 2016. When he finished his career as a student-athlete, he ranked fifth all-time in single season runs batted in with 53 and ranked tied for fourth in career home runs with 14. He earned a Gold Glove award at first base.

He began his collegiate career at Crowder College from 2012-2014, where he helped Crowder to a Region 16 Championship in 2014. Crowder also hosted a district championship that season.

Dey holds an Associate of Arts degree from Crowder College, an undergraduate degree in Physical Education from William Woods University, and a master’s in Teaching from Columbia College. 

Dey and his wife Kourtney Dey have a daughter Kaia Marie Dey and a son Ross Jordan Dey.
