David Rohrbach is entering his 14th year as a member of the State Fair Community College Athletic Department staff. He assists with all areas of athletics media relations, including writing game stories and other content for the athletic website. He also assists with content management for the SFCC Athletics website. Rohrbach has had articles published in many publications, as well as on the National Junior College Athletic Association website.

Rohrbach helped to create the SFCC Athletics Media Guides. He oversees compiling statistics for school records and is a frequent guest during home webcasts of Lady Roadrunners and Roadrunners basketball games. He shares play-by-play duties for the Lady Roadrunners Basketball home contests and serves as the color analyst for Roadrunners Basketball home contests.

The Green Ridge native and resident came to SFCC after completing his undergraduate and graduate coursework at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. During that time, he spent almost 3 years working as a student assistant in the Media Relations Office where he assisted with many different aspects of athletics media relations, including writing feature stories about student-athletes for various university publications. He assisted in game day operations for football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, and softball. He served as the score clearinghouse for the 2005 Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by UCM. Rohrbach also wrote season previews for various media guides, as well as updated the statistics, records, year-by-year scores, and provided editorial assistance for the media guides.

Rohrbach spent three seasons as a volunteer for the Jennies Soccer team. He assisted the coaching staff by keeping a shot chart and tracking other statistical information.

Rohrbach is a 2001 graduate of Green Ridge High School. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science in 2005 and then went on to receive a master’s degree in Physical Education/Exercise and Sport Science in 2007.
