Wayne Ogle is in his fifth season as the Head Men’s Golf Coach at State Fair Community College. Coach Ogle restarted the golf program in the fall of 2019. SFCC transitioned to National Junior College Athletic Association Division II men’s golf in the fall of 2020. 

When the program was restarted, SFCC was a member of the National Collegiate Club Golf Association. During the fall season, sophomore Hayden Brogdon earned a spot in the National Collegiate Club Golf Association Fall National Championship. The spring season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ogle is a Certified PGA Professional who brought a lot of experience to his position. He served as the Head Golf Professional at the Sedalia Country Club from 2012 to 2014, where he managed and oversaw the daily operations of the golf department, tournament operations, ladies golf, and junior golf program.

He served as the Assistant Golf Professional and Tournament Director at The Club at Porto Cima in Sunrise Beach, Missouri in 2011. He assisted the Director of Golf and the Head Professional with the day-to-day operations of the golf shop. Ogle also managed tournament operations and billing.

Ogle served as the Assistant Golf Professional at Highland Springs Country Club in Springfield, Missouri from 2010 to 2011. He assisted the Director of Golf and the Head Golf Professional with the day-to-day operations of the golf shop.

He was the Assistant Golf Professional at the Sedalia Country Club from 2006-2010. In this role, he assisted the Head Golf Professional with all aspects of the golf operation.

Ogle is an accomplished player finishing tied for 47th in the 2019 Jamaica Open. He also played and competed in multiple APT events in 2018 and 2019. He competed in the Korn Ferry Tour, prequalifying in 2018.

Ogle is currently the General Manager of the Sedalia Country Club in Sedalia, Missouri. He completed the PGA Certified Profession program for General Management in 2019. He completed his Class A PGA Professional Apprenticeship program in the fall of 2011, and he was elected to membership in 2012. He earned his Associate of Arts Degree from SFCC in General Studies in 2006.
