Bryan signs with Morehead State University

Roadrunner freshman forward L.J. Bryan of Cheltenham, Maryland, has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Morehead State University, a Division I school in Morehead, Kentucky. He is an academic qualifier who will have three years of athletic eligibility remaining.

"The coaches at Morehead State really like the fact that L.J. is a good student and a hard worker," said Basketball Head Coach Matt Brown. "Morehead State really needed a post presence. The Ohio Valley Conference is good. He will start there in June taking some summer classes."

Bryan averaged 7.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, which led the team in rebounds, and he finished fourth on the team in scoring. He played in 27 games in his only season as a Roadrunner, starting in 23. In his first game as a Roadrunner, he scored a season-high 19 points and pulled down 10 rebounds against Missouri Valley College JV. Bryan recorded a season-high 15 rebounds against Highland Community College-Kansas. During the season, he averaged 57.9 percent of his field-goal attempts. Bryan led his team in blocks per game with 1.2 and was named Second-Team All-Region 16.

"He is a quiet leader who didn't say a whole lot and just went out and handled his business," said Brown. "We are going to miss his physicality and his rebounding around the basket. He worked on his game every day. I'm really excited for him; it was a dream of his to play Division I basketball."
