Brown to play at Drury University

State Fair Community College sophomore guard Christian Brown will continue his academic and basketball career at Drury University in Springfield this fall. Brown helped the Roadrunners to a 19-10 record last season. He played in 20 games as a key reserve even though he battled injuries throughout his time at SFCC.

Brown knocked down 30.4 percent of his three-point attempts and around 68 percent of his free-throw attempts as a sophomore. He averaged 2.3 points per contest. Last season, Brown scored 14 points against Missouri Valley College JV in the opening game and scored eight points against Mineral Area College late in the season. As a freshman, he scored a career-high 16 points against Murray State College.

"Christian can shoot the ball well," said Head Coach Matt Brown. "As a native of Springfield, this is an opportunity for him to be close to home, so that is exciting for him. Drury University is a good Division II program."
