SFCC basketball signs Humphries

State Fair Community College Head Men's Basketball Coach Matt Brown has announced the addition of Joshua Humphries to the 2018-2019 roster. Humphries, a 6'4'' guard, spent last year at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. He averaged 3.3 points per game as a freshman and a team-high four assists per game while playing in 22 games and starting 13. He has signed a National Letter of Intent.

"Josh has the ability to play both guard positions," said Brown. "We like his ability to pass the ball and facilitate plays. He is a bigger guard with high basketball IQ and complements the players we already have. Josh also is a solid student."

Humphries played prep school basketball at Combine Academy in North Carolina for Head Coach Matt Jones and at Brooks DeBartolo High School in Tampa, Florida.

As a high school senior, he averaged 10.6 points, 7 assists and 2.1 steals per game. Humphries knocked down 44 percent of his shots from the field and 46 percent from beyond the three-point line. He was the only non-division I signee to participate in the Battle of the Beasts All-Star game.
