Two Lady Roadrunners Earn All-Region Honors

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners soccer team had two student-athletes earn All-Region 16 honors for their play in the 2019 season. Freshman Natalie Clarke of England and Hailie Acton of Fulton were named to the First-Team. The awards are voted on by the coaches in the Region.

Clarke started in all 16 games for the Lady Roadrunners. She was a mainstay in the back line.

"She played almost 90 minutes in every game," said Head Coach Jaime Beltran. "She was our best defender. It is really good that we have her coming back and hopefully leading our defense into the new season."

Acton started all 16 games for SFCC. She scored one goal on 26 shots, 12 of which were on goal.

"Hailie is a very versatile player who can play almost anywhere on the field," said Beltran. "She played in the midfield and some minutes at forward. She was even moved to the back line to fill in when we needed her."
