State Fair Community College (SFCC) Softball Head Coach Lyndsey Talbot has announced the addition of Darby Christian to her 2019 recruiting class. Christian has signed her National Letter of Intent and will begin her academic and athletic career at SFCC in the fall. Christian is transferring to SFCC from Central Methodist University in Fayette, where she has experience at both first and third base.
Christian played her high school softball at Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, where she was named academic all-state three times during her high school career. Christian earned second-team all-district once and all-conference twice.
"Darby is a hard-nosed player," said Talbot. "She is a left-handed hitter with quite a bit of pop. She also has deceptive speed. We are looking for her to come in and be a leader. We are excited to add more local talent to our program."
