Lady Roadrunners Sign Austell and Bell

State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners Softball Head Coach Lyndsey Talbot has announced the addition of a pair of Jefferson City High School products to her 2019-2020 recruiting class. Freedom Austell and Amaya Bell played their high school softball for Head Coach Zach Miller.

Austell is an outfielder who is coming back from an injury that caused her to miss her senior season.

"Freedom is a hard worker with a great attitude," said Talbot. "I am excited to see what she can do when she is fully healthy and back on the field. I love to be able to sign local student-athletes. She comes from a great family."

Talbot was equally impressed with Bell's decision to attend SFCC.

"Amaya will bring a lot of speed to our team," said Talbot. "She is also a very quick player which is sometimes more important on the base paths. I'm excited to get her in here and hone her base running skills. Amaya also comes from a good family. We look forward to having both of them as part of our program."

Both student-athletes have already signed their National Letters of Intent and will begin their academic and athletic careers at SFCC in the fall.
