Moore and Day Sign with Lady Roadrunners

State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners Softball Head Coach Lyndsey Talbot has added a pair of teammates, Alexys Moore and Josie Day from Holden High School where they played for Head Coach Matt Habermehl.

Moore and Day helped their team to a district championship, a win in the sectional round, and a state quarterfinal appearance during their senior years.

Moore is a catcher who earned first team all-district honors as a senior. She also earned first-team all-conference honoree, and second team all-region winner.

"Alexys is very competitive," said Talbot. "She has a lot of spunk and fire that she will bring to our team. She is a leader on the field, which is what you want from a catcher."

Day is a third baseman/pitcher.

"Josie is another tough kid who has a big bat," said Talbot. "She is also an aggressive defender at third base."

Day was named the Cliff Harris' Warrensburg Ford and Cliff Harris' Warrensburg Chrysler Female Athlete of the Week for Sept. 17-22, 2018.

Moore and Day both signed their National Letters of Intent and will begin their academic and athletic careers at SFCC in the fall.
