Roadrunners Add Two Infielders

State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners Baseball Head Coach Jud Kindle has announced two more additions to his 2020-2021 recruiting class. Brandon Green and Brayden McGinnis have signed their National Letters of Intent and will begin their studies and play at SFCC in the fall of 2020.

Green is a 5'10'' shortstop from Sundre, Alberta. He plays high school baseball at Foothills Composite High School where he earned the Academy Players Choice Award.

Green is a 2017 and 2018 BLE Showcase Gold Glove Award winner and a 2019 BLE Showcase All-Star. Green played in the Zone Two Alberta Summer Games. He is also a standout basketball player earning the Chinooks Edge Basketball Most Valuable Player in 2018.

"Brandon is a very high character kid," said Kindle. "He is a very good defensive player; his swing is a work in progress. Once he figures that out, he will be a very good shortstop for us."

Green has been an Academic Honor Roll recipient during high school career. He also earned a Bronze Medal in the Canada-wide Science Fair.

McGinnis is a 6'1'' third baseman from Concordia, Missouri who plays his high school baseball at Concordia High School for Head Coach Nathan Beissenherz.

McGinnis was named First-Team All-State in 2019. He earned Academic All-State honors in 2017, 2018, and in 2019. He earned First-Team All-District in 2018 and 2019. McGinnis has been named First-Team All-Conference in 2018 and 2019. During his junior season he had a batting average of .535.

"Brayden is a big and physical third baseman with a ton of pop in his bat," said Kindle. "When he gets here, he'll just have to make some adjustments to his swing to make it a little bit shorter."
