The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners baseball team will have another opportunity to play in front of their home fans at Liberty Park Stadium-Dey Field when they host St. Charles Community College from Cottleville, Missouri in a Region 16 Sub-Regional series. The postseason action will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday with games one and two. If necessary, the third and final game of the best two out of three format will be played on Saturday evening, with the first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.
SFCC defeated St. Charles in all four regular-season meetings. The Roadrunners won a pair of games in Sedalia on April 1 by scores of 3-0 and 13-3. SFCC finished the regular season sweep on Tuesday, April 2 by scores of 13-2 and 15-14 in games that were played at Maryville University in St. Louis because of weather.
"The key to success for our team in the Sub-Regional will be to get to the St. Charles bullpen early in the game," said SFCC Baseball Head Coach Jud Kindle.
