State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners Baseball Head Coach Jud Kindle has announced another addition to his 2019-2020 recruiting class. Jared Stephens is a 6'4'' pitcher who plays his high school baseball at Neosho High School for Head Coach Danny Powers.
Stephens was named to the Central Ozark Conference second team in the outfield as a junior.
"Jared has an opportunity to be a really good pitcher for us in more of a starting role," said Kindle. "He is tall and athletic with a loose arm and a good fastball. We will continue to develop his off-speed pitches as well as his curveball when he arrives on campus. Jared also excels in the classroom. He is the type of kid that we look for in our program."
Stephens plans to major in pre-engineering at SFCC. He has signed his National Letter of Intent and will begin his academic and athletic career at SFCC in the fall.
